We have moved a lot and know it does not happen often, but once we were super lucky and had amazing neighbours: After we had our two girls we moved to a larger apartment in the center of Munich. And that was our turn. Living underneath us were Giulia & Herbert, a lovely couple with 3 little girls, pretty much the same age as ours.
The nights were very short for all us – due to teething not grooving. Kids would play in the afternoon, mostly downstairs and ended up eating dinner all together. Giulia would whip up a stellar kids meal and the kids were happy. An hour later, when all 5 kids were asleep, Giulia and Herbert would come upstairs (carrying 3 baby monitors) to wine and dine, the adult version. I’ve always enjoyed cooking a lot and they were good eaters – perfect match. (Here are my top favourite sites for cooking inspiration for elaborate food for quick food https://ottolenghi.co.uk/recipes https://www.jamieoliver.com/ and for healthy food https://laurasdeli.de/ ) This said - Giulia always ahead in time - was not really into meat, but always into fish – hence these tabledots are dedicated to her. She is not only ahead of her time but also the most perfectly organised person I know. Cheers to you, my friend!
Years went by and today, we move apart geographically but the friendship grew. So, cheers to friendship – and neighbours!
